WTJ: An illustrated history of antisemitism.

Explore how antisemitism took root, changed over time and appears today. Begin with a country, travel through selected historical windows and read the stories behind the illustrated scenes.

  • 30 country journeys
  • Historical stories with linked sources
  • An illustrated atlas and Tree of Antisemitism
  • No account required

History begins with a place

The atlas opens journeys through thirty countries. Each has its own historical windows, painted environments and discoverable stories, alongside an account of how antisemitism developed locally.

The story, and the sources behind it

Read a chapter in order, open an individual discovery or explore a country’s origins and contemporary context. Historical source links remain available alongside the reading.

The illustrations are interpretive learning environments. They are not archival photographs or reconstructions, and the selected chapters do not claim to cover every part of a country’s history.

Follow an idea through the Tree

The Tree of Antisemitism offers a different starting point: explore religious, racial, political and conspiratorial ideas, with historical examples that connect the concepts back to country journeys.
